Imagine going on holiday and having your brainwaves recorded, measuring how it made you feel.
That’s exactly what five travellers on five different Contiki trips did in an industry-first study.
With the help of neuroscience from Myndplay, the youth travel brand Contiki recorded travellers’ brainwaves to find out exactly which travel moments caused peaks of dopamine, zen, creativity, learning and hyper-focus too.
Participants wore a ‘Myndband’ during their trip. The small headsets were connected to a custom data capture app which linked to a camera that automatically took photos when brainwaves reached peak level – capturing images from the exact moment they experienced their personal brain peaks.
The participants were kept in the dark as to what exactly was being recorded. Their only job was to live their best lives while travelling.
